Business English Writing Courses
You speak good English, but you find it difficult to write in English.
You want to send a letter to a customer but you are not sure of the correct style, expressions or tone in English.
You never know which past tense to use in English!
If this sounds familiar then Write for Business can help you. We provide writing courses at your own premises, or at another location of your choice. Distance-learning courses are also available. Our courses give you the skills necessary to deal with the daily correspondence you come across in your company.
More than just a translation
A good business letter in English is more than just translating from Dutch. Not only do you have to make your message clear and convincing, but you also have to use the correct grammar and spelling, and the appropriate tone and style.
By following one of our courses you will learn the rules and accepted conventions used in written business English:
- The correct greetings
- Opening and closing sentences
- Grammar and punctuation
- Natural English expressions
- A polite tone and formal/informal register
You will also work with authentic material from within and without your company, such as:
- Letters
- Reports
- Presentations
- Memos and e-mails

Who is this course aimed at?
This course is intended for people who deal (fairly) regularly with business correspondence. Your English should ideally be a B1, B2 or C1 level (according to the European Common Framework of Reference for Language Training).
