More than just a translation
At 'Write for Business', there is more to a translation that just making sure the words and grammar are correct. The meaning of the message is just as important. Which is why we do more than just translate. We also:
- use natural English expressions
- ensure the tone is appropriate (match your relationship with your reader)
- use the most suitable style (formal, neutral or informal)
- assess the layout and design
How do you use this service?
The service is very easy to use. First, go to the Contact Page and submit a translation request.
Once we have received this, we will send you a very simple form to complete. This will enable us to produce the best possible text for you. The form will ask you:
- The aim of your communication (to make a recommendation, give information, make a request, etc)
- Who your reader is (business partner, interview panel, club member, etc)
- The style you wish to use (formal, neutral, informal)
- Your deadline
- Any other information you feel would be helpful
Return the form with your document, either by e-mail or post. We will then:
- translate it from Dutch to English
- assess the style, tone and layout, and adjust as appropriate
- return the document to you for approval
