Copywriting services

'Do you need to find new customers?'

'Do you want to create or improve a web-site?'

'Do you wish to advertise your company?'

'Do you want to tell everyone your business news?'

Win new business

Every business needs to promote their product or service. They need to tell consumers who they are and what they do. Even charities and voluntary organisations have to inform people about their good causes.

In other words, they need to advertise. But advertising does not automatically mean a T.V or radio commercial, or a big, glossy advert in a magazine or national newspaper.

There are many other
forms of advertising that may be more suitable for your business. These include direct mail letters, brochures and web-sites.

Maximise your sales potential

The aim of copywriting is to sell, persaude or educate customers about a product or service. Copy that has been written effectively will:

  • grab attention
  • generate interest
  • stress the benefits of your product or service
  • differentiate your business from your competitors
  • call your customers to action

In other words, it will maximise your sales potential and get the results that you want.

The right writing skills

Not every business has the writing skills to produce its own copy.  And not every business can afford an advertising agency. If this sounds like your business, then Write for Business can help.  We'll make sure your copy is eye-catching, lively and persuasive and, compared to an advertising agency, we'll make sure your money goes further, too.

Please let us know if you would like examples of our copywriting

Free evaluation of your website or brochure

Not happy with your current website?  Want to rewrite your brochures? Let us evaulate them free of charge.  An approved copywriter with the Institute of Copywriters (UK) will critique your current copy and discuss with you - at no cost - the kind of publicity your business needs.

Just contact us. Tell us briefly your needs and we will call you back.  We will also send you a 'creative brief'.  This is a list of simple questions about your business. You need to answer these questions before we can evaluate your copy.  This helps us to understand your needs and will be a guide to producing the right copy at a later stage.

If you decide to use our services, we will send you a fee agreement which lists the tasks we will do and the cost of each task.  After you have signed the agreement, we can start writing.  Once you have approved the final copy, all you have to do is send it to the designer and printer or web master for final production.

What does it cost?

Because the nature and content of copy varies so much, we do not give our prices on our website. Each job has to be assessed on an individual basis.  When we evaluate your copy, we will give you an indication of the cost.  In the fee agreement (which you sign before we start writing), each writing task is priced separately so you understand exactly what you are paying for.

Upgrading service

Is your current brochure, website or newsletter a bit dull and boring?  Would you like it to be more powerful and convincing?  Then why not use our upgrading service?

Unlike copywriting (which produces original text), upgrading turns existing text into convincing copy.  It is simliar to our editing and proofreading service but it goes a step further.  It uses the skill of a copywriter to improve your copy's flow and pace.  It uses powerful or persuasive language to turn dull writing into lively and energetic writing.  This will encourage more people to read about your product or service and, in turn, create more sales!

The upgrading service costs 65 euros per hour (excluding tax).  As a guide, we can upgrade approximately two pages an hour, but this depends upon the quality of the original text and the final copy you want. So, please contact us for a free estimate and for more information on this service.  You can also check out our FAQ page.

Forms of advertising

There are many different types of copy but at Write for Business we concentrate on the following services:

  • Web pages
In today's world, every business is expected to have a web-site but writing for the Internet needs a very different approach to other forms of media. The test must be kept short, simple and easy to browse.

  • Direct Mail Letters
These are a personal form of communication on a large scale. You are targeting a specific group: house-owners, computer users, accountants, etc. The text needs to be friendly, punchy and convincing.

  • Press Releases
These are news stories (e.g.: a product launch or relocation) which you send to the media. Newspapers and magazines will print them free of charge in their news pages.

  • Brochures and Leaflets
These vary from a single leaflet to a twelve-page brochure, and come in a variety of sizes (e.g.: A4 or tall and slim, two-fold or z-fold leaflet, stapled brochure). They describe what you are selling, list the benefits, and give information to consumers.

  • Newsletters
These tell staff, members or customers what is happening in your world. They are a collection of stories and information, and the style is often informal and friendly. They are usually distributed on a regular basis (e.g.: monthly, quarterly).
